The primary mirror is rolled out of the storage facility at the FLWO basecamp and lifted from the lowboy trailer. After mounting on the transport rig, it is rotated to near-vertical in preparation for the trip to the summit and bolted and chained into place.

Several of the rear covers of the box have been removed to allow measurement of mirror motion during a test run to be done the following day.
