The MMT Observatory and MMTO Council are pleased to announce the First MMT Science Symposium. The purpose of this informal workshop is to present scientific results from the upgraded MMT and the new generation of instruments which have come on line in the last few years.
It is hoped that the meeting will also bring together MMT users in a congenial environment where new ideas, projects, and collaborations may develop to expand the rich scientific return from the MMT for many years.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, June 14-15 in Tucson. The meeting format will include oral presentations and posters, with ample time for discussion. We also plan to set aside a time for discussion of issues like data reduction software and new instrument plans.
The meeting will be held at the centrally located Doubletree Hotel Tucson at Reid Park, 445 S. Alvernon Way. For hotel rates and reservation information, please see the Hotel web page.In lieu of formal conference proceedings, we will post electronic presentations on the conference web site, at the author's discretion.

committee will use abstract submissions to select talks covering
a wide range of science. Other contributions will be invited to
present posters.
