Joannah Hinz

Dr. Joannah Hinz is an associate staff scientist at the MMT Observatory and an assistant research professor at the University of Arizona. She earned a bachelor of science in physics from MIT and a PhD in astronomy from the University of Arizona. She worked in the Spitzer MIPS instrument team and was a member of the Spitzer Survey of Stellar Structure in Galaxies (S4G) team. She also worked on the Key Insights on Nearby Galaxies: a Far-Infrared Survey with Herschel (KINGFISH) project with data from the Herschel Space Observatory. She has been with the MMT since 2012.
